Mobile advertising firm Greystripe has announced plans to support in-app ads on Nokia's Ovi Store - its third smartphone platform after iPhone and Android.

The company says it's starting to migrate 1,200 ad-supported Java games from its own GameJump service to Ovi Store, and will also make its ad units available for use in Symbian games released through Nokia's service.

"This announcement reinforces one of our main objectives as a network, to reach the broadest audience possible, in addition to our iPhone and Android users," says CEO Michael Chang (pictured).

Greystripe says that Java and Symbian are already accounting for around 250,000 app downloads on its network every day.

The company says supporting Ovi Store will be important to help it attract brands who are looking beyond the US to find a mobile audience - citing Navy and JC Penney as examples.
