Steamboat Talking Tom Cat?
Outfit7, the developer of voice recognition apps Talking Friends – best-known for Talking Tom Cat – has teamed with the Disney Interactive Media Group to bring the characters to life in an online cartoon series.
The animations will run on Disney.com and the Disney YouTube channel, which can both be accessed via the Talking Friends mobile apps.

As a result they are transcending the mobile space to new entertainment mediums with online video being one of the first.
"Partnering with the renowned creative talent at Disney in addition to Disney's broad distribution capabilities allows Talking Friends fans everywhere to experience the characters in a fantastic new manner."
The announcement follows our report that Outfit7 has had over 360 million app downloads and 100 million monthly active users, while the firm compared its success to that of a mobile Harry Potter.
