Orange UK reveals iPad 3G data tariffs

Operator will also extend iPad offer to more markets later this year

Orange UK will offer tailored 3G data plans for iPad Wi-Fi + 3G from May 10th and will launch a pre-registration site for SIM’s at Orange.co.uk/iPad.

The plans will include pay-as-you-consume, daily, weekly and monthly options.

The pay-as-you-consume tariff will charge for data access at a rate of 5p per MB of usage each month, costing no more than £40 per month (excluding the optional bundles).

The Daily tariff costs £2 for a 200MB allowance, the Weekly £7.50 for 1GB, the Monthly 15 for £15 and 3GB plus unlimited BT Openzone wi-fi and the Monthly 25 for £25 and 10GB  plus unlimited BT Openzone wi-fi.

Earlier today Apple confirmed that its iPad tablet will go on sale in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK on 28th May.

Rival UK operators O2 and Vodafone are expect to unveil their own iPad data tariffs imminently.

Orange is offering the iPad in the UK, France, Spain and Switzerland, and today confirmed it would extend the offer to more markets later this year.
