Orange in Satanta sports deal

Orange in Satanta sports deal

Orange UK is to offer sports programming from pay-TV group Setanta, says the Guardian.

It’s the first deal of its kind and would make Orange’s TV service the only one to offer all televised Barclays Premiership games. The service costs £5 a month for access to Setanta Sports 1 and 2 and Setanta Golf. Orange already provides Sky's mobile TV service so a sub to both would provide access to every televised match in the Premier League.

Ireland-based Setanta has the rights to show up to 46 games a year. Its programmes are available for £10 a month on the ‘free’ terrestrial digital service Freeview and Sky while some Virgin Media customers get it for free.
