'We didn't do it', says French operator
Orange has denied that its deputy CEO confirmed the existence of Apple's much talked about tablet hardware.
Speaking to PaidContent UK an Orange spokesperson said that comments made in French by Stephane Richard during an interview with Europe 1 had been inaccurately translated into English.
It had been widely reported that Richard had revealed during the interview some of the yet to be revealed tablet's spec, including a video calling feature.
The Orange retraction continued: "The spokesperson was merely confirming that he is aware of the speculation surrounding a launch and that Orange would be delighted to have such a product were it ever to be available.”
