Orange and Nokia extend Ovi Store deal

Deeper integration with Finnish handset maker's app store in the UK and France

Orange is to offer Ovi Store content alongside its own Application Shop on Nokia devices in its Signature range in the UK and France from 2011.

As part of the agreement the two companies will offer a single login across both app stores, with all purchases appearing on the user's Orange bill.

In support of the deal, Nokia and Orange will be wooing third party developers to the Ovi Store during an Orange Partner Developer Day on September 17th in London.

Paul Francois Fournier, EVP of Internet Services at Orange, said: "To be successful, access to content must be simple, seamless and secure. That is why we are extending our partnership with Nokia, combining innovation to create an intelligent platform that brings an enhanced experience to our customers.

"By joining the best of both worlds and creating this new service, we believe Orange and Nokia together will bring significant benefits to both our customers and developers."
