Optus adds real-time satnav

Oz operator makes Makes Optus Navigator free to some premium users.

The service is powered by Telmap, and provides real-time mapping, navigation and traffic updates.

Optus Navigator is already available for download and Optus OB subscribers can download it for free. Others get a free trial and then pay their monthly subscription directly from their monthly Optus bill.

The product also supports

•   Turn-by-turn in-car navigation with 3D moving maps
•   Live traffic updates and alternative routes
•   Points of Interest such as bars, restaurants, tourist attractions and cafes from Lonely Planet
