Opera Mini has increased its total consumer user-base to more than 20.5 million.
The rise means the mobile browser has grown by 160 per cent in a month.
Opera Mini servers generated more than 124 million Mb of data traffic for mobile operators worldwide.
The most enthusiastic Opera users come from Eastern Europe and Asia, with Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan high on the list.
Uzbekistan led the way in the region with 2,600 per cent growth in the past year, while Moldova was second with more than 900 per cen growth.
"In regions like Russia and the CIS, Opera Mini solves real-world problems of connectivity and cost, thus helping more millions of people access the Web quickly and affordably," said Jon von Tetzchner, CEO of Opera.
