The mobile advertising roll up continues

Browser specialist Opera Software has acquired US-based AdMarvel, which offers a range of services in the mobile advertising space.

The company says the acquisition will enable it to offer 'highly scalable ad monetisation services' for Opera-branded products offered by operators and content partners.

AdMarvel has built up its business since 2006 by offering a broad suite of campaign management and analytics tools, encompassing mobile web, WAP, SMS and in-app inventory.

Lars Boilesen, newly-appinted CEO at Opera Software, said: “In our fast-growing industry, mobile advertising represents an interesting long-term revenue opportunity. Every month, nearly 50 million people access the web using Opera on their mobile phones and together with AdMarvel, we think we can play an important role in the evolution of mobile advertising."
