Two companies to reveal integration plans in coming weeks.
Social games platform OpenFeint's CEO Jason Citron sold his company to Japanese firm Gree, but is now looking for a new job after leaving to 'pursue new opportunities'.
OpenFeint announced the news last night, with a new CEO already in place. Naoki Aoyagi joins from Gree, where he has been working since 2006.
"In just over 24 months, OpenFeint has grown to over 120 million users across 7,000 games. I thank Jason for his leadership growing the company and wish him well in his new adventures," says Aoyagi. "I’m excited to lead OpenFeint through its next phase of growth."
According to Gree, it will announce plans for the integration between its US office and OpenFeint in the coming weeks, as it gears up to compete with the DeNa / ngmoco pairing on the global stage.
