Omnifone launches MusicStation for PCs

Dual download Desktop Edition of music service goes live with 3 in Hong Kong.

Hutchison Telecom (3 Hong Kong) is the first operator to roll out Omnifone's MusicStation Desktop Edition.

The subscription-based service enables users to download, play and share unlimited amounts of music on a PC and mobile.

From March 26th, 3 Hong Kong customers will be offered Desktop Edition for HK$15 per week (originally HK$12 MusicStation Mobile).

Omnifone already counts Sony Ericsson, Vodafone and Telenor as clients for its mobile-only service.

The company says its has secured international licensing agreements with all four major music labels and thousands of independents for MusicStation Desktop Edition, equivalent to 1.3 million tracks.
