Consumer and business offerings start at £96.89 on a £29.38 18 month contract
O2 will begin offering the Palm Pre smartphone in the UK on an exclusive basis from October 16th - slightly earlier than predicted.
It will be available from O2 sales channels, Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U across a clutch of consumer and business tariffs.
These start at £96.89 for the device on a £29.38 18 month contract, with the Pre available for free on a £44.05 18 month or a £34.26 24 month option.
O2 is already the exclusive partner for the iPhone in the UK (though is expected to lose exlcusivity on older models to Orange/T-Mobile).
US operator Sprint was the first to offer the Pre back on June 6th for $199.99 with a two-year contract, after a $100 mail-in rebate.
