Operator launches 'Text & Web' package with unlimited web access and texts for £15 a month.
Users who join before 31 October can take advantage of the deal, which used to require a £30 top up every month.
“Our customers are connecting with people more and more through social networks and need constant access to online sites, so we’ve built Text & Web with them in mind,” said Jean-Michel Maltais, O2's head of Pay & Go Propositions.
Text & Web’s unlimited allowances carry no hidden charges, although an excessive use policy does apply to both.
The launch will no doubt accelerate the use of the mobile web and associated data products into the mass-market pre-pay demographic.
