O2 More has six million users

Opt-in operator ad service adds four million in six months.

O2 More invites users to sign up to receive messages from brands that can be targeted by phone usage and location.

The six million figures is pretty impressive, and O2 says this represents more potential buyers than the first episode of Channel 5’s Big Brother.

It adds that 93 per cent of users open messages in under five minutes.

In the last few weeks, O2 beefed up the concept with the launch of O2 Priority Moments, which pushes location-based offers to consumers that download the app.

Shaun Gregory, MD of O2 Media, said:  “O2 More continues to lead the market and our growing audience of over six million reflects the appetite of consumers, alongside the shift to ‘permission based marketing’.
