O2 launches Priority Tickets iPhone app

Lets its customers bagsy gig tickets before the herd.

UK operator O2 has launched a new iPhone app called Priority, which ties into its Priority Tickets service.

The app, which is free, lets people buy tickets to gigs and events at venues around the UK up to 48 hours before general release.

O2 says the app makes the process faster and easier. Users can set up alerts for specific artists, venues and cities, to ensure they don't miss out.

What about non-iPhone owners? O2 has them firmly in its plans.

"Having launched on the iPhone we now plan to roll out the app to other platforms including Android and WebOS," says O2's head of consumer mobile Jonathan Earle.
