Now Vodafone takes Last.fm

Operator follows T-Mobile's lead by integrating Last.fm for music discovery.

The new app includes Last.fm's scrobbling functionality so users can track what they're listening to in real-time and build a music profile and recommendations based on their taste.

T-Mobile confirmed last week that it would be integrating Last.fm, Shazam and Wikipedia into its own Mobile Jukebox offering.

The Vodafone Last.fm service will launch across Europe, India, Australia and New Zealand.

In Germany, users will be able to click through directly to the Vodafone Music Store to sample and buy any music recommended by Last.fm.

The app is first available to download from Last.fm to selected Nokia handsets, including the N95, N96, N78 and 6210. Other handset models will follow soon.
