Iconic UK music compilation can be scanned to launch extra content.
The latest release, Now That's What I Call Music 80, features a logo that's been given the AR treatment by UK specialist Blippar.
Zapped, it launches an enhanced 3D menu that includes a tracklist and track samples from Now 80, videos from David Guetta and Professor Green, plus the opportunity to rate your favourite track on Facebook and enter a prize draw.
The logo can be scanned via CD cover, poster, in-store, ad, computer screen or printout.
Now That’s What I Call Music! is the UK’s biggest selling compilation series ever, with total album sales since 1983 exceeding 100 million. NOW 80 has already sold 134,000 in two days.
This is another nice deal for Blippar, which has come from nowhere to clinch high profile partnerships with brands including Cadbury.
