Now Orange working on an Android tablet?

Own-braned device will be powered by Android and out in time for Christmas

A report in Les Echos (via 9to5mac) suggests that Orange is working on an own-branded tablet computer that significantly undercuts the price of Apple's iPad, which it already offers.

The report indicates that the operator is working with an Asian manufacturer on a 3G-enabled Android-powered device that will be available in time for Christmas and cost less than half what Apple's charges for the iPad.

Orange is thought to planning to offer three tablets by the end of the year, with the third presumably from one of the many vendors already in or planning to enter the market.
