Another Android first for Sony Ericsson's PlayStation handset.
Earlier today, the device maker announced that Minecraft would debut for mobile exclusively on its PlayStation phone. Now it's got another limited time exclusive, this time till February 21st 2012.
FIFA 12 on Android has been optimised for the Xperia PLAY, and features improved gameplay depth, authentic commentaries, updated teams and new replay systems.
Audio is also improved with enhanced commentary and crowd chants.
The deal represents a ramping up of the promotion around Xperia PLAY, which has so far struggled to match in sales the hype that surrounded its launch.
Interesting too that ex EA man Tim Harrison is now Sony Ericsson's content chief, although it would be unlikely that he would have driven this deal through in the two weeks since his appointment was announced.
