Race on your local streets without risk of arrest.
Nokia might have canned its N-Gage games service, but it still has ambitions as a games publisher. Ovi Maps Racing is the latest example.
The game, which will be sold through Ovi Store when it's released this year, is a top-down racer that ties into Nokia's mapping service.
How? It uses GPS to identify a player's location, then turns the map of the area around them into a virtual track for the game. The tagline: "Race around your block".
The game may have come too late for N-Gage, but it will spearhead Nokia's efforts to make Ovi Store a haven for mobile gamers.
It's also an example of games meshing with other Nokia services, following in the footsteps of music game Dance Fabulous. A video demo is embedded below:
