Music+ to be introduced in Q1 of this year at a cost of £3.99 per month.
Nokia has revealed that it is to launch a subscription service upgrade to its free music streaming service at some point during the year’s first quarter.
The free version of Nokia’s music service currently allows users to stream music from playlists and create their own mixes.
However, at a cost of £3.99 per month, users will soon be able to upgrade to a paid-for monthly subscription that allows music fans to download unlimited mixes, which can be played offline.
Music+ also offers unlimited track skips, along with the option to listen to music at a higher audio quality when connecting via Wi-Fi and lyric streaming.
“By removing barriers like adverts and sign-ins, Nokia Music makes it easy for users to discover and enjoy music on the go. Nokia Music+ now provides increased control over the listening experience at half the cost of many third party services,” said Jyrki Rosenberg, vice-president for entertainment at Nokia.
