Handset firm to stream live performance of White Stripes star's new band, The Dead Weather.
Nokia has teamed up with music show From The Basement to showcase the power of the Nokia N97 customisable homescreen. This will be the first edition of the show to go out via a live feed, straight to mobile or laptop.
From the Basement was set up to offer live performances, with no host and no studio audience. Until now the show has been pre-recorded for TV broadcast.
Images and editorial will give fans a unique insight into the band and preparatioins for the performance using feeds across Twitter, Qik, Flickr and a one-off pre event blog.
The Nokia N97 went on sale this week.
