Symbian ^3-powered device comes with a 12MP camera and HD video capabilities
Nokia has confirmed that its much-anticipated flagship N8 handset will available in select markets during 3Q10 for €370 before taxes or subsidies.
It's the first Nokia device to use the Symbian ^3 OS, which introduces multi touch, flick scrolling and pinch-zoom gestures.
It's also the first to be integrated with Qt, a software development environment that Nokia says makes it possible to build applications once and deploy across Symbian and other software platforms.
As you'd expect the N8 comes with more social networking integration than you can shake a stick at, but the standout features are the 12 megapixel camera, HD video recording (720p) and support for Dolby Digital plus surround when the handset is plugged into a home cinema system.
Nokia says the N8 will offers access to web TV services from CNN, E! Entertainment, Paramount and National Geographic, with additional local content available from the Ovi Store.
