Nokia launches photo print service

Nokia XpressPrint has gone live, allowing Nokia users to print pics directly from the site.

The Finns teamed up with CeWe Color to build the www.nokia.cewedigital.com service, which gives new users their first ten prints free and also offers photo gifts including mugs, t-shirts, greeting cards. Pictures can be posted to any address anywhere across Europe within three days. Prices start at eight pence for a digital photo and £6.75 for a photo mug.

Users must download the latest version of the Nokia XpressPrint application to an Nseries device. The service works by selecting the desired image, selecting quantity, and then changing the settings of the photo such as cropping and colour.

Research by CeWe Color and GfK NOP said 86 per cent of people do not print all of their digital pictures; 45 per cent print one-quarter or fewer; and 34 per cent print very few or none of their digital snaps.
