Touchscreen sibling to the 5800 will start shipping in 3Q09.
Nokia unveiled the new handset during its Connection event in Singapore earlier today.
It sports what's described as a solid stainless steel frame and a homescreen one touch shortcuts to content and social networks, including Facebook and MySpace.
Nokia also used Connection to debut the E72 messaging handset, 3710 fold, and push its Ovi Store concept to developers in the region.
Mary McDowell, Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Nokia, said: "Asian consumers' eagerness to use technology makes this region a great place to introduce new devices and services. Singapore and many of its Southeast Asian neighbours represented here today will be among the first to take advantage of the future solutions Nokia intends to bring as we connect the planet so that everyone can participate."
