Reports suggests bonuses for its execs will hinge on passing 300m milestone.
Pocketgamer has the story, which it picked up from a Nokia source at an Ovi developer event in London.
The Finnish handset maker has already spoken publicly about 300 million downloads being its 2012 target.
But now it seems 'all' company incentives and bonuses are now focussed on meeting that figure.
'All' sounds a bit excessive to us as the majority of Nokia execs won't be involved in the Ovi project at all - you would expect handset sales targets would still be the priority in terms of general exec remuneration.
Still, it wouldn't be surprising if Nokia is pegging a proportion of bonuses against Ovi downloads - as the source said: "it's all about Ovi."
