Download! on device portal offering about to go to the next level, according to reports.
Reuters says Nokia will unveil a fully-fledged App Store offering at Mobile World Congress next week, citing two industry sources. The Finnish handset giant has already heavily diversified into content services under its Ovi umbrella brand, but it seems an extension of its low-key Download! on device portal is on the cards.
It'll be interesting to see how any new Nokia app store service will be positioned alongside the company's existing content offerings, including N-Gage, Music Store, Maps, Mosh and Widsets etc.
Of course, the notion of a mobile 'app store' is a hot topic right now, with Apple, RIM, Google, Microsoft all having launched or planning to launch their own services.
The article also says Nokia will launch the E75 handset at Mobile World Congress too.
