Handset maker's first stab at the touchscreen mainstream passes milestone after four months on sale.
Nokia says it shipped 2.7 million units of its 5800 XpressMusic handset in 1Q09, taking the total to 3 million since its November launch.
The stat is one of the factoids to come out of the company's precarious but slightly better than expected 1Q09 financial report.
Nokia also disclosed that it shipped approximately 5 million Nseries devices and over 3 million Eseries devices during the period.
The quarter also saw company announce the 5730 XpressMusic, 5330 XpressMusic and 5030 to bolster its music offering.
