Scary US indy band not happy at Apple rejection.
Apple rejected the Nine Inch Nails nin: access app because of its 'objectionable content', and was immediately slammed by the band's frontman Trent Reznor. He blogged: "I'll voice the same issue I had with Wal-Mart years ago, which is a matter of consistency and hypocrisy."
He has a point. The song to which Apple objected - The Downward Spiral - isn't in the app itself, but is available as a download from it. It's been pointed out that Apple's own browser is capable of launching all manner of depravity in a similar way.
Also, The Downward Spiral is available the iTunes Store.
Reznor is famously outspoken and tech-savvy at the same time. However, he is unlikely to be the last to complain about Apple's approvals prodedures, as the App Store becomes more and more successful.
