ngmoco opens Sandbox game engine to third party developers

Preparing the way for launch of Mobage network, which already has 100 games signed up.

Mobage will give developers access to a suite of features to enhance social games, including a shared currency, a virtual goods bank system, a payment API, advertising management and analytic tools.

The Sandbox environment is based on ngmoco's ngCore development engine, and the SDK can be dowloaded for free at https://developer.mobage.com.

ngmoco says developers from across the mobile, casual, and social game spaces have already signed up for Mobage, and that it will be rolling out a series of game announcements in the coming weeks.

“The Mobage launch is right around the corner and we’re giving developers the tools to be ready,” said Simon Jeffery, chief publishing officer at ngmoco.

“The combination of the ngCore engine and Mobage platform will empower developers to quickly and easily innovate, delivering compelling social and mobile games to market faster than ever before.”
