NewBay’s ‘zero-click’ back up keeps users coming back.

Achieves a 65 per cent return rate for those uploading and accessing digital content.

Irish firm NewBay manages cloud based services Android and Windows devices with operators in North America, Europe and Asia.

Its LifeCache platform does the back-end stuff, but also ensures that – once permisssions are set up – there is no requirement for the user to click through.

Once a subscriber sets their upload/sharing destination, their photos and videos are instantly uploaded/shared with zero user intervention.

Media destinations might include a subscriber’s favorite social networking site, operator-branded digital vault or directly to friends and family via SMS, MMS or email.

Steve French, vice president of global marketing at NewBay, said: “This is about more than just content upload.

"We are streamlining the entire content lifecycle by making it easier to store and access content from the cloud and stimulating repeat activity through notifications and social networking alerts.”
