NewBay powers cloud-based services for handset companies and operators. It enables their users to click once to upload content - from pics and videos to messages and contacts - to a secure locker.
Traditionally it built clients in collaboration with partners, but now it's opening up its code.
It hopes that this could result in some interesting new products that enrich the UGC content held on the cloud. Some kind of enhanced slideshow of photos for example.
