Opera Software will reveal its new browser, Opera Mobile 9.7, at CTIA next week.
The browser will integrate elements of the Opera Turbo desktop system that was revealed in February. Turbo speeds up browsing by compressing websites with its own servers and then shooting out the compressed version. There should also be Flash Lite and Ajax support.
In addition, observers are speculating that Opera will reveal an operator partnership in the US, in which a carrier will embed its browser into selected devices. This would be significant as Opera has cultivated a major footprint in emerging markets, but has had little impact in North America.
