NTT DOCOMO's 'ultra-rapid rechargeable battery' is ten times faster than a standard charger.
While most phones take around 90 minutes to recharge fully, DOCOMO will use a new connection to send charge to the phone, enhancing it from 0.55amps to 5.5amps.
The firm claims that the usual method of connecting via USB slot will not be suitable for the charging process, due to the power being more advanced.
Whilst the concept is certainly impressive and many will surely rejoice with the new means of power production, DOCOMO is unable to provide a release date at present, which suggests the product could still be a long way off.
