Katy Phillips steps up, new ME events loom
Mobile Entertainment has appointed a new publisher, also heralding a new era for the leading business site.
After three years as sales manager, Katy Phillips has taken over complete day-to-day control of the brand. She will drive editorial and commercial development, plus event management and bespoke solutions for ME's numerous key business partners.
First up is the Top 50 Mobile Innovators event next month and the biggest ever ME Awards in November.
Phillips takes on the new role following the recent appointment of Mike Shaw as editor, and will guide a team that also includes executive editor Tim Green and staff writer Zen Terrelonge.
As well as driving traffic growth and working with Shaw to widen ME's remit in a fast-moving sector, Phillips will look to widen ME's remit and influence across all mobile content sectors, including mobile marketing and mobile advertising.
"As the mobile content market continues to evolve, so does Mobile Entertainment. Mike Shaw has recently arrived as editor and Katy Phillips stepping up to publisher further bolsters the brand," said Intent Media boss Stuart Dinsey.
"Katy has driven the website and associated events for some time and will now look to take us forward again, with our Top 50 Mobile Innovators looming next month and our biggest ever ME Awards taking place in November. We're very excited about the future for Mobile Entertainment."
