California spikes with 6.3 per cent.
The new iPad was only released on Friday and it is already accounting for 5.5 per cent of iPad traffic in the US, according to Chitika Insights.
Based on 24 hours use from March 19th-20th, new iPad traffic has already made an impression on the country, particularly in California – the home of Apple's HQ – which leads with 6.3 per cent of traffic.
Meanwhile, Connecticut followed with 6.1 per cent, Nevada secured 5.8 per cent, while New York secured 5.6 per cent.
The device experienced sales of three million in three days across a number of countries and though it's unclear how many of those were purchased by Americans, the impact of the new tablet is obvious.
