Head of Edge Online leaving Future for new projects with ME publisher Intent Media; Based in San Francisco.
Longtime Edge Online frontman Colin Campbell has joined ME publisher Intent Media as head of US content and business development.
The highly-rated publisher and journalist ran US trade title Games Business and online pioneer Fastest Games News throughout the 1990s.
Campbell continues with Edge until mid-April, but is then moving to a new office in the US for his Intent Media role.
He will be in charge of new initiatives and will provide support across several publications and websites, including Mobile Entertainment, MCV, Develop and CasualGaming.Biz.
"This is a significant hire for us. Colin is incredibly well connected and respected when it comes to the US games industry," said Intent Media boss Stuart Dinsey.
"When managerial responsibility of Edge Online was moved from Future's US office to its UK office, I felt that it was the right time for me to move on," said Campbell.
