Sony Ericsson has unveiled its newest mass market Cyber-shot phone, the K770.
The 3.2 megapixel device is clearly the successor to the hugely successful K800 and features many of the same functions. There is, for example, a Photo fix facility for nfor PC-free photo editing on the handset, the ability to post pictures to a blogsite, drag and drop picture transfer to a PC, auto focus and so on. Memory wise the K770 comes with a 256 MB memory card for storing up to 200 photosElswhere there’s a MP3 player and FM radio with RDS that seeks out clear reception on-the-move. The K770 is a GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 and UMTS 2100 device that will be available in ‘truffle brown’ in selected markets from autumn 2007.
Cyber-shot has played a key part in a fabulous recent era for Sony Ericsson. The company announced weeks ago that it had doubled its year on year profits for Q1 2007. This came from 21.8 million units shipped – a 63 per cent rise on the same period last year.
