Organisers say Games Convention Online will address browser, client and mobile games.
A brand new event, Games Convention Online, is due to take place in Germany from July 31st to August 2nd.It's aimed squarely at what organisers call "the most dynamic market in the gaming industry: browser, client and mobile games".
The show replaces the Leipzig Games Convention, which was confirmed as cancelled this morning by organiser Leipziger Messe after a long-running battle with bitter rival Gamescom.
Leipziger Messe's new Games Convention Online event has announced support from the likes of Bigpoint and Gameforge and will be split into two separate areas, one for the trade and and one for gamers.
Format details are sketchy right now, but it seems there will be an exhibition and conference stream.
