New board at MEF Americas

Ted Cohen has been re-elected as the chair of MEF Americas, with Groove Mobile, Harvest Media Group and LCC also securing board places at elections held at CTIA this week.

Cohen, former EMI digital chief and now a managing partner with TAG Strategic, secured a second term in the MEF Americas hotseat after expanding the trade body's membership and activity last year.

Also retaining places on the board are Paul Reddick, VP business development and product innovation at Sprint; Jill Braff, SVP of worldwide marketing at Glu Mobile; and vice chair Dave Ulmer, senior director of entertainment products at Motorola.

The new board members include Edward Boddington, CEO at Harvest Media Group; Adam Sexton, chief marketing officer at Groove Mobile; and Kenneth Young, chief marketing officer at LCC International.

Cohen said: "This is a very exciting time in mobile entertainment. The industry is still on the ground floor, and we are only beginning to realise its potential. Our new board is from all across the mobile value chain, and will provide our chapter with considerable insights as they lead us in the coming year."

Patrick Parodi, global chair of MEF, added: "MEF is truly a unique organisation in that its members are from all different aspects of the mobile industry who are coming together to increase mobile entertainment adoption. The diversity of our members is our strength, and what gives our initiatives the power to change the industry. We are very proud to welcome our new members and we look forward to the insights they will contribute to the forum."
