Put your reading glasses away, Kindle DX screen is 3.7 inches larger than the Kindle 2.
The Amazon Kindle DX features a 9.7-inch, 1200×824 pixel display. It appears to be a pitch at the newspaper and mag world, with the New York Times and Washington Post reportedly set to launch pilots on it.
It also has a built-in PDF reader, auto-rotate capabilities and the capacity to hold a whopping 3,500 books.
The DX costs $489, compared with $359 for the Kindle 2. It's only available in the US. Amazon is taking DX orders online and plans to start shipping this summer.
