Italian content firm in profit and on track for 100m euro turnover in 2010.
Neomobile is clearly reaping the rewards of a strategy that has seen it complement its longstanding strength in D2C with a move into B2B services, and a geographical expansion.
The firm's D2C business remains very strong in Southern Europe, especially in Italy, Spain and Turkey. But in more recent months, the firm has moved into Brazil, Mexico, France and India too.
Neomobile bought Spain's Arena Mobile in 2008, and this was the start of a move into 'B2B2C', which saw it target operators and media companies with fully managed content services.
As part of this strategy, the firm teamed up with compatriot Mobango to offer a hosted subscription-based app store to operators.
“All the hard work done in a tough year such as 2009 is now producing the results we were expecting,” said Gianluca D’Agostino, CEO of Neomobile.

"We aim to keep on growing in the next quarters, driven by the further development of the D2C markets we entered, the strengthening of the B2B2C offering and the launch in the near future of new business lines.
“We are currently scouting business initiatives, alone or in partnership, in the mobile payment and mobile gaming space”.
VCs BlueGem and MPS Venture invested in Neomobile last Spetember, and took a controlling stake in the company.
