Nokia will start selling the device in the UK and 74 other countries this month.
The highly-anticipated Nseries handset, which comes with a 3.5 inch touchscreen display, 32GB of memory and optimsied Ovi Store access, will be Nokia's flagship device as it looks to take a bite back at Apple's iPhone and App Store.
In the UK, Nokia will begin selling the N97 on June 19th from its Regent Street store and online SIM-free for £499.
3, Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U will begin offering the device from June 26th.
Nokia is making much of customisable nature of the N97, which ships with widgets from Facebook, Hi5, Associated Press, Bloomberg and Reuters, with other content available from Ovi Store. The app store itself got off to a shaky start last week
