Myxer launches location-based Android wallpaper

GeoPix app will switch images automatically depending on where the user is

Myxer has unveiled its first Android app in the form of GeoPix, which changes the handset's wallpaper depending on where the user is located.

The app offers the ability to save any number of locations, as well as allowing users to search and choose images from either their phone or Myxer’s catalog of 130,000 wallpapers, then have them “auto-magically“ appear when they reach their destination.

GeoPix is the latest example of how Myxer is seeking to broaden its offering beyond its core ringtone, wallpaper and video business.

The company counts  Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, EMI, Estee Lauder and Lionsgate among its content partners, and has delivered over a billion ringtones to date.
