Social networking giant will add support for Microsoft-powered handsets in the autumn.
The new MySpace app will utilise Silverlight, Microsoft's Flash-like browser plug-in.
As you'd expect it integrates MySpace’s main features and functionality in a way the partners say will be familiar to Windows Mobile users.
At CTIA this week developers will be shown how they can build Silverlight applications on MySpace using the jointly released Open Source kit for Silverlight.
The MySpace application will be available embedded on Windows Mobile 6.1 phones and through the Windows Marketplace for Mobile in the early fall of 2009.
MySpace claims 20 million mobile users globally and already supports iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Sidekick, Palm and Nokia devices.

Aber Whitcomb, chief technology officer of MySpace, said: “Our relationship enables app developers to use Silverlight to create engaging MySpace apps and allows Windows Mobile users to have a more personal MySpace experience on their phone.”
