Device Anywhere has clinched two big deals - with Telefonica and Motorola.
The US-based content testing and deployment specialist is to power Virtual Developer Lab testing platforms for the European network and for the US handset company. With Telefonica, the remote service is designed to reduce the time and resources required to develop, test, monitor, and deploy apps and content for Telefonica handsets. It gives developers access to more than 60 handsets using a web-based interface. Devices include the Nokia 5800, Samsung i900, Apple iPhone, HTC HD and Blackberry 9000.
Meanwhile the Motorola Virtual Developer Lab represents the handset manufacturer's latest step in extending services and tools to its MOTODEV mobile application and content developer community. It gives community members remote access to 40 handsets in the US, Europe, Taiwan, India and Brazil.
"As the mobile industry continues its rapid global expansion, it becomes increasingly difficult for mobile application developers worldwide to keep up with the multitude of handsets - and just as difficult for operators, handset manufacturers and platform providers to ensure that their developer communities have access to devices," said Faraz Syed, CEO of DeviceAnywhere. "
DeviceAnywhere's Direct-to-Device technology links to live global networks, and currently supports more than 2000 devices on over 30 different networks worldwide.
