Ad specialist Out There Media claims to reach over 100 million subscribers across Europe.
The firm has pursued a policy of locking up operator inventory in less mature mobile economies, especially in Eastern Europe. It has 15 operator agreements in 14 European countries, and says 38 million of those 100m connections are exclusively available through its Mobucks mobile advertising marketplace.
Out There has run over 150 campaigns, which create 150 million ad impressions per month, and says that in the last quarter of 2008 use of MMS as an advertising medium was roughly double that of SMS.
Customers include Vodafone, Mobilkom Austria group, Ogilvy, Lowe, Initiative, Universal McCann, OMD, Sony Ericsson, Nokia and Coca-Cola.
Kerstin Trikalitis, CEO of Out There, said: “We are beginning to see mobile advertising take off, and this is creating a huge opportunity for operators to monetise their mobile inventory. Brands and their agencies can create highly targeted campaigns that yield tangible results that can be measured.”
