Company's Media Distribution Platform is now capable of delivering live and on demand video to Apple's deice.
The iPhone has been added to the 350-strong list of mobile devices supported by MobiTV’s technology and infrastructure.The user interface of the iPhone service, which includes immediate session start and fast channel change functions, can can be leveraged on a white label basis by service providers who wish to bring linear TV to the device using either 2G, 3G or wi-fi connectivity.
Bruce Gilpin, Chief Operating Officer at MobiTV, said: “Our new live streaming technology will open up an exciting new range of possibilities for delivering engaging media on the iPhone platform."
MobiTV today confirmed it now has six million subscribers to its various mobile TV services.
