New MEF research says the content biz will grow by 27 per cent this year.
It's the key finding of a the trade body's first quarterly Business Confidence Index, compiled in collaboration with KPMG.Every quarter KPMG surveys MEF members across the globe, and in its first Index it found that 88 per cent of respondents anticipated that their company’s headcount will grow or remain stable in the next quarter.
The top five areas of growth were cited as:
1. Social Networking
2. Music
3. Video
4. Games
5. Infotainment
The MEF BCI also reveals the spread of mobile entertainment revenues across the globe, with China and Central & South America being seen as hotspots over the next 12 months and respondents predicting growth in excess of 50 per cent in both regions.
