New GD900 handset gives new meaning to the term crystal-clear reception.
LG has taken the wraps off what it claims is the world’s first transparent phone, the GD900.When opened, its sliding, translucent keypad illuminates a glow that "reflects the phone’s sleek and polished silver body".
LG says technology was not compromised when the LG-GD900 was developed - it comes with a Bluetooth headset, for example, though further spec details have not been announced.
The device is scheduled for release during the second quarter of 2009.
